LASTING IMPRESSIONS: “Underneath Your Clothes... There’s an endless Story”

Lasting Impressions with Sian Lindemann

“Underneath Your Clothes... There’s an endless Story”
From the song ~ Shakira
Questions and Statements that cause one to Think

How many colors are there in a reflection?
~ Lucretia Torva

Underneath Your Clothes, There’s an endless Story” ~ Shakira

Hips Don’t Lie ~ Shakira

“When we KNOW that love matters more than anything and we know that nothing else really matters, we move into the state of surrender. Surrender does not diminish our power, it enhances it” ~ Unknown

I’ve been “thinking” a lot over the last several weeks, and it is the reason why I am amazingly LATE and have missed the deadline for my article for The National Networker, January 2010.

I suppose Adam will forgive me because I have delivered unto his publication an endless stream of timely articles for nearly three years... and, although this one is LATER than LATE, I simply could not come up with a title or content that was “in line” with this new thinking.

The new thinking has been percolating for some time and has not allowed for me to write the “status quo” kind of content I have provided before today.

Adam will be pleased, for two reasons

1) He allowed me to write for Arts and Entertainment because I know my business
2) He tolerated my writing for Arts and Entertainment for I am self - admitted “rotten” writer.

Now, it is intolerable, even for me, to write a crappy article just to get it in ON Time.
This is a good thing.

I have been demanding of my artists to provide and produce perfection, but have not been willing to hone my craft in order that I, too, provide an excellent end product. From this discovery, I am having a pivotal AHA, if you will.

And for this I am not placing myself out of the loop in a willingness to give you, our readers, a better product, no matter the discomfort it causes me.

The Turning Point
The turning point has been Social Media, which forces me to write daily, to write passionately and to write about those things that really matter to me. And today I am prompted to better the quality of my product to you…

I don’t know if Adam Kovitz will accept my article in this format, but what I do KNOW is that I can no longer provide a skimpy version of something, quickly penned, simply to meet the deadline for a publication that has asked from me, a product, delivered thus, in service to its deadline.

Both considerations warrant value.

Writing as I have been doing to maintain a number of blogs, and 3 Face Book profiles, have assisted me to become more clear. I would never go so far as to personally congratulate myself on the notion that I have become a better writer. What has occurred, however, is a consistent and formidable devotion to the passionate expression of my work.

I have fallen in love with my work… for now, a 30 year immersion into supporting, prompting, cultivating realizing the careers of artists in my care…I now have a deeper devotion to my own artistry…and I am in love with the power of “creation” once again.

I had it once, and thus, set it aside... round about back on 9/11/2001

I am back, and am more devoted than ever, not only to my own best discovery and creation, but to those whom I serve. And in this format, I serve the readers of The National Networker.

Working daily in Social Media has brought forth the realization, which has been supported by my fans and readers there, that I have the ability to write profoundly, to have an impact with the thoughts and ideas that I present, and to ultimately inspire those
Who are taking the time to read and possibly share my posts.

I am honored, truly... and surprised.
For... Humility has come with my surprise.

So it is at this time, once penned, that Adam will have the final decision on whether I continue to write for The National Networker, but in the meantime, I devote myself to providing the very best content I can possibly drum up…and express in writing.

I have been moved by the writing of others. I have been inspired by the writing of others, and I am most appreciative that if in any way, anything I write has an impact on my readers here, or on my own platforms, I have found a new way, a new art form, and a profoundly deepened expression of truths that are extracted from my core values.

HOW does this apply to Networking

The art of and the realization of “The Law of Attraction” is experienced today, January 15, 2010. For the first time in years, I can finally stop pushing the river to get people to pay attention to me shouting from the mountaintops. They are coming, joining, reading, and commenting of their own volition.

I am honored…and I am humbled in their so doing.

And it is up to ME and me alone to continue to provide better and better ways to hone a pathway that gives back that which I so deeply receive.

Appreciation... for inspired thought.

Think on this if you will... Does your art inspire? Does your work inspire? Do your actions make better the lives of those who surround you?

If not, and if not bettering the lives of those around you, are you truly giving the very essence of your soul each time you paint, write, sculpt or dance?

And If Not... Begin It NOW... In line with one of my most favorite quotes, “Boldness has genius... Begin it Now...” Goethe

Thank you Adam, and my greatest thanks to The National Networker for assisting me to actualize something new. The power to transform through yet another art form in the long list of actualized skills of Sian Lindemann ~ Artist

In this authenticity, I no longer need to “network” to drum up clients, fans, or support. They come... by their own volition, in free will, as if a moth to a flame... for where Light and passion are present, who can truly resist ?

That is the highest form of networking... natural, unencumbered, and authentic.

Interview with DC Cordova Part Two

Please describe once again how you got started along this path?

“I was a court reporter in the California and Hawaii court systems. And I was looking for my purpose: I was looking for something greater to do out of my work I was doing for the EST organization and later with Sondra Ray around rebirthing. And she gave me a powerful affirmation, which was:

‘I now manifest the Divine Plan of my life.’

It was Sondra Ray herself who had introduced me to Marshall Thurber and Bobbie De Porter the people who had created the first business school for entrepreneurs of its kind in the 70s out of work they were actually doing in their very successful Real Estate company called Hawthorne-Stone.”

I remember hearing about Hawthorne-Stone. I was around in those days I’d even seen Marshall Thurber in person!

“… so when I found this work, I knew it had been created for me out of the affirmations I was doing. I knew it was my life’s work!

Then, through a series of circumstances, I ended up not only attending their business school but then supporting them and then I became a partner, and eventually I inherited all the work. So I got started out of me having a combination of good business sense, good business skills, and also the metaphysical skills.”

So – amid all these tremendous changes you’ve experienced – was there a time of breakthrough: a turning point when you chose to change your course? I’m always fascinated hearing about people’s transformations and quantum leaps!

“Specific turning points? Let’s see. I would say there were three primary ones.”

Three?

“Yes. Of course there were many smaller ones as well. Here is the first: In 1976 I was a successful court reporter in the L.A. system. I started when I was 24. Then I saw many things in the court system that were very disappointing for me, so I moved to Hawaii and started working as a court reporter there.

But then I began to RE-create my Universe the same one I left in L.A. Same old stuff! And I began to get a hint that maybe there was one thing happening: and this one thing was simply that I was always there in the midst of it! And so I was starting to realize ’Maybe we do create our own reality?’ Except I didn’t have those specific words. Actually at that time I had nothing metaphysical; I had only read As a Man Thinketh and that famous book on Psycho-Cybernetics.”

The book by Maxwell Maltz?

“That’s the one! Those were the only two things I’d read. So in 1976 I was being a court reporter and also party girl – I lived on Maui, I had a wonderful boyfriend named Bob Moon; I was sailing around the Islands. We went on a wonderful month long trip on a yacht, and suddenly I had this enlightenment experience on the island of Kauai on Hanalei Bay.”

An enlightenment experience!

“Yes! Now basically I had become pretty sober for the first time in years. I wasn’t drinking; I was out in the middle of magnificent nature… And I had this experience of having a connection with God after having been heartbroken for eight years because my first love, Larry Fancher, died when I was 18 years old, and I lost his baby four months later, after he died. “

Oh, I’m so sorry!

“So I was devastated and closed my heart and became a workaholic. I became very successful: had a lot of money by the time I was 24.

And so when I had this enlightenment experience, I heard this beautiful voice inside my head, in my heart that said, ‘I didn’t put you in this world to be a party girl. You have a job to do! And it was like ’What???’ And I had this experience that was very mystical, with me being one with God
but I didn’t know that’s what it was then. And I was seeing my whole life, seeing the whole world… I actually thought I was dying. I went through my whole life, and everything started making sense: my boyfriend dying, my other friend, what I had seen in court yes, that certainly was a breakthrough!”

Very powerful!

“I came back from that experience and I went back to Honolulu and started working as a court reporter again. I went through an agency, and the very first case I was sent on was the State of Hawaii vs. the EST organization, for practicing psychology without a license.”

Oh my God that’s perfect!

”…And I basically sat in front of six or seven of their topmost people -- the only top person who wasn’t there was Werner Erhard and I ended up being enrolled into EST. A friend of mine had done the Training in the early 70s, and I said to them, ‘EST? A friend of mine did that!’ Before I knew it I was signing a check to them and couple of weeks later I was sitting in the EST Training!"

So then this was your second major breakthrough?

“Yes it was a matter of my having that enlightenment experience, and then amazingly, right on the heels of that, coming in contact with this organization that would turn my life in the right direction!

My work with them took me through the technology of transformation ---and I have been doing that every since. That was 33 years ago! “

And the third breakthrough?

“My third major one was meeting Bucky Fuller, Marshall Thurber, and Bobbie De Porter -- and then meeting my mentors in Asia. “

What huge turning points! Now at present time which of your projects are you most excited about?

“I’m actually passionate about bringing our Money & You® program to North America. We’re very big all over China, Singapore, all over the Orient --- Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Brunei: all over the Asia Pacific region. I really feel that North America is in high need of our program. So that’s what I’m most passionate about in regard to business.

In regard to education, to my mission, what I am very excited about is well, let me give you an example. There was an article in Fast Company in May -- called ‘What Harvard Doesn’t Know’ ‘or ‘Doesn’t Teach’ or some such (you can look it up.) It’s an article about Harvard all about what they do, and all these amazing educators that are now getting into education. And in there, the last paragraph, that article literally says that education is a thousand years old, because our students are learning the same way as Socrates, from people up front reading to them and not using technology. So the other thing that’s so exciting to me is that we now seem to be finding a whole bunch of allies that are creating transformation in this world. So those are my two favorite projects.

I’m wondering about your courses in Asia. Do you teach those?

"Oh no. I don’t teach I’m the CEO. No, we have several Chinese partners… and then we have real entrepreneurs that teach the Money & You program. We have many different entrepreneurs that teach – they are not trainers by career: they are actually entrepreneurs that build their own companies. Now one of my instructors here in the States is Kerrie Zurrier who, out of her work in the non-profit field, became a master coach and trains other coaches. But originally she’s a business woman. So, that’s what happens in North America."

So this next course that’s coming up in L.A. who is teaching that?

"Actually it’s Kerrie Zurrier."

I’m glad you are having this upcoming course here on the West Coast, in North America.

"Well, I’ve always wanted to! It’s just that I keep being pulled to Asia.”

How much of your work is focused specifically toward women?

“Number One: We are a women-run organization! Three of my partners are women, one is a male. Our programs are male-oriented but the world has changed: nearly 50% of American households are now financed by women: single women!

And
much more women are now attending. I actually go out and speak to women, but my tendency is to want to bring women into our programs

Students in transformational money programs used to be mostly men but now this is changing. I have actually sent women to certain programs: that is, recommended them to the leaders.”

How do you mean?

“I see these amazing programs where there are 30 men and one woman, and I go talk to the leaders about that – and then they say to me: ‘But where can we get women? There are no women!’ And I tell them: ‘Call me! I know all kinds of amazing women on this planet! I know all kinds of powerful, wealthy, successful women I can get you women! You need to change your curriculum!’ “

That’s great!

“I am always an advocate and lobbyist for women. I aim to awaken women from the victim patterns they have been living in. I am very tough with them about that. I myself am fortunate that I come from a family of women entrepreneurs!

That’s one of the things I like about Suzie Orman: even though she’s very conservative in her teachings and has a middle-class mentality about money, the good thing is, she points out that women tend to put others first, to not take care of themselves; also, women have a tendency to volunteer -- often to their own detriment.

So, bottom line, I’d like to awaken women from being victims to being the source of their own power. I’m in a constant state of doing that.”

Well, DC, you certainly are a great role model for being on the success track early in life!

“I was put on the success track by my family. I came from a family of women entrepreneurs who came from success, were used to success. So in a sense I was not made by myself: I came from that stock. Now, if you like, we can move on to your next question.”

All right! So what are some of the ways or places in which you promote your enterprise?

“Networking -- Meeting people of influence and leveraging myself. Also, by identifying people who support my work, are aligned with my work, and getting into joint ventures with them.

The bulk of my money comes from royalties – I am already leveraged in that. But when I come to North America, I am a worker again. It depends on the different areas of your business. You have to really understand business and marketing.

I am not good at marketing I am a great promoter, which is very different from being a marketer, which is very different area. You have to know the various areas of business: you have to be educated in business.”

Now: Whom / what does your network currently include? How far does your network extend?

“I’ve already mentioned all the countries in the Asia Pacific region… We have doors that are waiting to open in the Middle East and also in Europe. Actually, I know almost all the transformational leaders in the seminar industry, in the world.”

All I can say is Wow!

And now my next question: What has been the best about building a network? Actually, I think you’ve already covered a great deal of that.

“In this context, I think it’s important you tell people: Be sure to go to high-level, highly leverage-able people: people who will leverage your purpose, your mission, your work!”

Well, that’s certainly sage advice! Now what challenges (if any) have you found in your networking experiences?

“Not being clear what I am about used to be a challenge.”

How so?

“It used to be a challenge when people asked me: ‘What do you really do?’ Given I do several things, my answers would sounding confusing. Recently I’ve started to say ‘I do three different things: one, two, three!’, and then list them separately. That works very well: it now sounds clear! People especially love my Number 3: my humanitarian work. And you can see that actually all three of the things I’m about are related, connected, but in order to be clear it’s best to speak of them separately. That’s what’s working for me.”

What else do you feel is really working well for you, your company?

“Following the principles. Doing things for the sake contribution. Adding value. Always remember: Do not focus on money first – focus on the value first.”

What’s the achievement, the accomplishment you’re most proud of at this time?

“I’m most proud of the fact that so many people are now out there promulgating facts on left / right brain teaching techniques AND creating transformation in the world. I am proud to say that all of these people have been students of our programs, and then gone on to create their own! T. Harv Eker is only one of many notable examples he learned so much from us; he has taken all of our programs, and built on that. Robert Kiyosaki also, and many others. I’m proud to say that if you look at any good business transformational programs with left/right brain teaching techniques, they have been students of ours or have been trained by students of ours.”

What are your plans and goals for the future organizational, personal especially regarding networking activities?

“Here’s what’s next for me:

I am expanding the North American business. I want to finally publish our Money & You book, and I continue creating the Money and You Foundation (though we are already quietly contributing to a variety of causes).

Also, my goal is to be completely leveraged out of my companies within five years so I can be free to devote my time to humanitarian causes.”

That’s exciting, DC! In conclusion, anything you’d like to add some words of encouragement, inspiration for our readers?

“I’ve already given you plenty of encouragement and inspiration earlier”, DC laughs.

That’s definitely true! I laugh. So I suppose this is a good place for me to end by saying a huge THANK YOU, DC!

“You are so welcome, Ann. I wish you all the best for your goals and dreams. When I see on the web the work you’ve done, I say to myself: ‘Here is a woman doing her purpose!’”

Thank you, DC once again, you’ve made my day!

GO WEST! Honor Thy Self ...

Go West! with Christine West

“You yourself, as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection” Buddha

In every human interaction we teach other people how we wish to be treated. By the very essence of what we accept as acceptable behavior and our interactions establishes the means in which other people end up treating us by the way we treat ourselves.

I am personally fascinated in how most people are blind to this fact. We are constantly teaching others about ourselves. We do this in so many different ways that many are unaware of. Our very behavior sends signals out to the world on how to treat us. Our body language, our energy, our physiology, our words, our beliefs, our actions or inactions, our boundaries, what we take value in, what we make a priority, our self-respect, self-esteem and self worth, are some of the many factors that give others information about us. When we want the world to treat us better, we need to learn to treat ourselves better and make the adjustments within ourselves.

I have personally found when I treat myself with honor, my sales increase, my productivity improves, better people and resources come into my life and I am happy. Honor means I value myself, I make me a priority, I invest my time and energy in activity that creates happiness and moves me closer to my goals, I surround myself with healthy people, resources and activities, I fuel my body and mind with nutritious foods that helps me to focus and be emotionally stable. It also means I sell my services based on my own personal development level and self-worth. I love and accept everything about myself so that I can continue to evolve and prosper.

When we neglect ourselves and allow energy to scatter mixed results occur and we often feel depleted. We end up forgetting about our priorities, our value and end up taking on the priorities of someone else who may be leading us away from our goals. We end up procrastinating and living out the intentions of other people while never advancing ourselves.

If we are to evolve personally, professionally, cognitively, emotionally and spiritually, it is absolutely critical to recognize if you desire true change, then one must be willing to make the changes at the internal level. Nothing in your external world will change if you refuse to on the inside. This statement is true and factual when it comes to personal development, business development, organizational development, relationship development or healing physical impairments.

When we make inner adjustments the external world magically changes. The bottom line is nothing will improve until you improve. If you treat yourself poorly, then you are teaching your employer, your family, your friends and peers to do exactly the same.

I have heard people complain about their external world. What these people are really communicating is the complaints inside themselves. Everything we see in our external world and our very reaction to it is a mirrored reflection of who we are.

This statement may be difficult or easy for you as a reader to digest.

I also realize this is a different statement than some may be familiar with. It is important to reiterate this fact. The beauty or ugliness or anything in between we see in our external world is a reflection of who we are. This is why different people can experience the same event and have a very different experience. The experiences can be contrasting as though the people involved didn’t experience the same the event or the same conversation.

For example, in today’s job market many have been laid off from their job. Some people find this a great opportunity for a new beginning and others find it fatalistic. Some people when a relationship ends focus on harboring resentment and others are grateful for the experience no matter how it ended.

For growth or change to occur, if you don’t like what you see or what you experience then you need to make internal changes, learn to forgive yourself and others for mistakes, set healthy boundaries with yourself, other people and your environment and accept every piece of you. We all are a self-fulfilled prophesy - meaning our beliefs, expectations and behaviors create our reality. We possess a power within by taking responsibility and we give our power up through blaming others for what we experience or our circumstances.

Most people want more respect, more success, more prosperity and less grief and stress, yet most fail to recognize these goals are much easier to reach by learning to honor thy self.

Now, as a reader, you may be asking what do I mean? The bottom line is real simple, when you personally “HONOR” every piece of your life and work on yourself internally, your mirror will naturally reflect your inner changes.

So far I have given you some food for thought. In the next month’s column, I will help you to increase your self-worth so you can increase your prosperity, sales and quality of life. Until then ---

Genuinely,
Christine

Newly improved, enriched and more easily-navigable format. Try it. Please. You'll like it. 1/11/2010.

Did you know that several hundred people (we use the term "people" loosely) have already picked THE NATIONAL NEWSPICKER gadget to adorn their websites, blog pages and newsletters? Our goal: 100,000 viewings per day. Join us, please. Choose your news! THE WORLD IS GOING GREEN.

Better grab this gadget before Christmas (extended deadline!) for mounting on your blog, website, newsletter, homepage, social media profile, twitterfeed, refrigerator, cinderblock and your bathroom mirror (use duct tape, as it withstands the humidity). Why? You need news. We have it all. And...after November 1st, you will no longer be able to grab this gadget; you'll have to go directly to the page. It's not funny. Do it. Don't just blow us off as idiosyncratic, uncultivated clowns - this PICKER is POWERFUL.

Think about this: 20 minutes each day to be the smartest person in any meeting (or at least seem like it).

THE NATIONAL NEWSPICKER PAGE - The wearin' o' the green. 'taint just blarney, Old Son. Sing along if you know the song..."everybody's doin' it, doin' it, doin' it..."
