A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER: TNNWC Adds New Dynamic Content to Publications

TNNWC Adds New Dynamic Content to Publications

by Adam J. Kovitz

2010 has been a year of big changes for us at TNNWC and this week marks something new...

Our crack team of experts at TNNWC labs have been slaving all year to bring our members the best and most up-to-date information possible.  Through their near-compulsive desire for business trends affecting entrepreneurs and emerging enterpises as well as a technical splash of widgetry, we are proud to announce the following changes to your favorite TNNWC publications:

The National Networker Weekly Newsletter - last week's UPDATE BULLETIN announced the new format, but we invite you now to feast your eyes upon the new section "TODAY'S MOST IMPORTANT ARTICLES FOR EMERGING ENTERPRISES", which is now updated in real time!

The BLUE TUESDAY Report - BLUE THING #4:  This Week's Top News Stories now features the latest from SmartBrief in four categories:  News for Entrepreneurs, News for Leaders, News for Small Business (from the National Federation of Independent Business) and News About Social Media.  BLUE THING #9:  This Week's Top Buzzed Items and Search Terms now features real-time news from RSS Micro, top "word lookup" search terms from Search.com and consumer and business trends from Trendwatching.com.

We hope you continue to value our ongoing mission to find our members better ways to stay informed as much as we enjoy having you as one of our valued members.

Keep reading, keep learning, keep improving and keep prospering...

All my best,

Adam

A NOTE FROM THE CHAIRMAN: TNNW's Plans for 2010

OK...so it's now a brand new year and already I am getting tired of hearing about "resolutions". How about you? I just know that every professional or life coach is going to send me an email about "making sure all my resolutions become a reality" (with all due respect to those coaches out there - many of them are my friends, and one them is my own brother). I even saw a group of co-hosts of a morning show on TV talk about how they won't even make resolutions anymore because they know they won't be following them.

Isn't it a shame that an idea like a "resolution" has become such a joke? It's become synonymous with "something you tell people to look prestigious yet meaningless due to the convenience of a back door so you can gracefully back out". NO ONE TAKES RESOLUTIONS SERIOUSLY ANYMORE.

In a recent debate with TNNW's Vice Chairman and my blood-brother-in-arms, Douglas Castle (who, by the way, wrote an excellent article with his own predictions for the next 7 years called
Futurescape: The Next Seven Years on our daily RSS and email feed) he shared his concern that the term "networking", much like "resolution" has become so overused and meaningless. The ensuing debate inspired Douglas' article this month "Who are you and why are you here?" - THE NEED TO STATE YOUR MISSION.

Since I started THE NATIONAL NETWORKER NEWSLETTER nearly 5 years ago, I felt at that time that the word "networking" was overused and misunderstood, and set out to build a publication that would educate people as to what it really is and how it can be utilized in a number of ways. Of course the nature of our articles have expanded because as Douglas stated to me, "networking is only the beginning". I couldn't agree more.

Another area in which Douglas and I agree is that we will not be making any resolutions this year. Instead, we have made plans, and for those who know us well, we follow through on all of our plans and we make good on them.

This year as we approach our five year anniversary next month, expect to see more from THE NATIONAL NETWORKER COMPANIES, the world's first Global Internetworked Collaborative Business Community (GICBC). Expect to see more about our suite of proprietary services like
news releases and Buzzworks services, as well as several new ones. Expect to see new writers - we have four new ones this month. Expect to see our latest version of our tastelessly-named The National Newspicker, your link to the top news sources around the globe - available now at our website. Expect to see more of The BLUE TUESDAY Report, filled with additional intelligence including TNNW Surveys, Amazing Facts, Featured Company of the Week, Featured Deal of the Week, Most Memorable Quotes, Websites and Blogs to Explore and our BackTalk section where your voice is not only heard, but published as well. Lastly, expect to see an overhauled TNNW website, providing a much easier means of navigation to the articles you want to read, the information you want to see and the services we know you will come to rely upon.

We here at TNNW are real excited for what 2010 will bring and we hope you are too. Glad to have you with us!

All my best,

Adam

This nifty widget can be placed on your website, blog, or newsletter in order to provide you with great continuous information, as well as plenty of additional visitor traffic.

A NOTE FROM THE CHAIRMAN: Giving Thanks

Here in the U.S. this week we will be celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday and last week I gave thanks to our TNNW Buzzworks Team, who specializes in creating buzz about TNNW (and is most likely the reason you're reading this at the moment).

This week however, I wanted to thank you...our loyal TNNW reader. We know that there are plenty of other information sources out there to choose from, and through it all you continue to read us. And as we know our readers like the quality articles of our various authors, we also know that you have come to increasingly expect more from us.

With that said, what would Thanksgiving be without the "GIVING"? After all this holiday ushers in the entire Holiday Season where we give gifts to those we care most about - this year Douglas and I, and the rest of the TNNW crew are being incredibly proactive. That's right...we're giving you the gift of 8 new columns by 8 new authors. Who are they? What will they be writing about?

It's a surprise! You're just going to have to wait until December...and to add intrigue to anticipation, our first December issue won't be out until December 6th! This also gives you plenty of time to tell your friends about TNNW...feel free to give them the gift of TNNW as well (it makes a great stocking-stuffer).

Now, I know what you're saying...December 6th...that's 2 weeks away! Aren't you a weekly publication? Yes and no...as always, TNNW comes out four times a month. When we have a 5th Sunday of the month, us hardworking folks at TNNW (and Douglas Castle, who shall remain nameless) will be taking the week off and enjoying a much-needed rest (after, of course, the next BLUE TUESDAY REPORT).

In the meantime, please try not to be too sad...you always have our daily RSS/Email feed and The National Newspicker to keep you company.

All my best,

Adam
