Power Thought of the Week with Patricia Parham, Ph.D.
Altruism
Some say that there is no such thing as altruism – giving with no expectation of a return. Yet, “giving” is part of our national fabric and it’s not just large corporations who benefit from it. Your company may, as well. Give to local causes about which you are passionate. Whether you make personal contact or give anonymously, pick those who will use your money wisely. Share the community benefits provided by your recipient as you network. Whether you expect it or not, there will be an inevitable return.
