Eldonna Lewis Fernandez WINs with Double Book Signing
17 Contributing Authors to the Heart Book Series came out for a double book signing at Borders in Long Beach (The Pike and Bellflower locations). The Heart of a Military Woman co authored by CEO Space Grad Eldonna Lewis Fernandez and Sheryl Roush (creator of the series) recently won a San Diego Book and Writing Award for best spiritual/inspirational category. It was reported that the book signing was an amazing success.
The Pink Biker Chic (Eldonna) rode in on her Harley to open the event at Borders at The Pike in Long Beach and parked on the sidewalk by the entrance to the bookstore. Just as she was about to get up and read a passage from her book she noticed a security guy standing by her bike with a pad writing something that appeared to be a ticket. She raced out to her bike and found he was writing her a ticket. Using her expert negotiation skills…(the store manager said I could park here with no problem, I didn’t know….) she managed to talk her way out of the ticket and quickly moved her bike to a spot on the street.
The day continued with a book signing at the Borders on Bellflower in Long Beach where the Pink Biker Chic did interviews with various contributors to the series and a couple of guests. Both events were well attended.
