The Real Jobs Report at 9 March 2011

Statistics can indeed be misleading.

The Information which follows is presented here courtesy of
http://www.truth-out.org/. They are not a mainstream news source -- they are an alternative news source with a whistle-blowing (admittedly, nobody truly loves a "snitch" -- Look at what they've done to Mr. Assange of WikiLeaks! - He must be spoiling many a corporate victory party) and activist agenda (not unlike the dangerous agenda of that chap Paul Revere, who ratted out the British ..."To arms, to arms, the British are coming!" to the rebellious colonies on that piece of turf which eventually became known as the United States Of America.

SNITCHES versus INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTS

Before I present this information, I just wanted to mention that the difference between a "snitch" and an "investigative reporter," might be as simple as the difference in their respective agendas. The snitch tells his or her tale for money or self-protection, at the expense of others, while the investigative reporter tells the truth for the benefit of others so that they may learn something new and, if they choose to, act upon it. I have respect for intrepid and courageous investigative reporters and journalists who serve the interests of the public, often at great risk to themselves. If you are merely a snitch, you already know that you'll never be quoted by me; you also know how I feel about you
.

The content follows. Sometimes statistics can be very misleading, such as those promulgated by mainstream media with powerful corporate or government sponsorship, which tend to be riddled with conflicts of interest. If you want news, it can be difficult to get. If you want propaganda, sometimes the mainstream media is simply the servant its financial sponsorship, or those with the power to shut it down with lethal force. Think about this. ####

The Real News on Jobs Robert Reich, Robert Reich's Blog: "Are we making progress on the jobs front?.. To get to the most important trend you have to dig under the job numbers and look at what kind of new jobs are being created. That’s where the big problem lies... While the biggest losses were higher-wage jobs paying an average of $19.05 to $31.40 an hour, the biggest gains have been lower-wage jobs paying an average of $9.03 to $12.91 an hour. In other words, the big news isn’t jobs. It’s wages." Read the Article ####

I hope that my readers will find this information more useful than irritating. It signifies a call to action to empower the entrepreneurial and small business sectors to produce real demand for real jobs at reasonable compensation.

My Synopsis: A job which does not generate sufficient income for the employee to provide him or her with life's minimum essentials is not much of a job -- it is merely further enslavement, opportunism and propagandist misdirection. -DC

Sometimes statistics are inadvertently taken out of context, and so they are "accidentally" misleading. Sometimes, however, statistics are intended to mislead.

Faithfully,

Douglas Castle

TNNWC Launches Counter Strike in War on Small Business

Levittown, Pennsylvania – Outraged over the war on small business being waged at this moment in the U.S., Adam J. Kovitz, Co-Chairperson of TNNWC Group, LLC, encourages entrepreneurs to strike back. The war Kovitz describes is demonstrated in the new trend among major corporations to extend accounts payable to their small-business vendors from the traditional Net 30 to Net 60 (and even Net 120). Kovitz cites evidence in a recent Washington Monthly column by Jeffrey Leonard.

“Big corporations engage in this practice that essentially gives them no-interest loans as they delay payments to small businesses,” Kovitz says. “It’s frustrating because we all have seen the reports of record profits recorded by these big businesses and growing expansion. These companies are sitting on literally trillions of dollars of capital while they force small businesses to wait to be paid.”

“What makes this trend especially damaging is the fact that small businesses cannot take advantage of the same loans banks make available to larger corporations,” Kovitz notes. “Here again, however, American small business owners must rely on their own innovation, perseverance and collaborative skills to succeed. And I maintain we can win this war!”

Kovitz states reasons why small businesses drive the U.S. economic engine:

More than 60% of the jobs created in the last decade in the U.S. came from the private sector.
Small businesses have provided more than half of all private-sector jobs.

Furthermore, Kovitz says the war should not exist in the first place. Big business only undermines its own success and bottom line by setting an uneven playing field for small business. The solution, according to Kovitz, is a three-fold counter-strategy against this onslaught by big business. It’s a strategy that TNNWC Group, LLC, follows. Kovitz says it results in mutually beneficial dividends for all participants.

“The first step is to provide employees with ownership of the firm,” Kovitz suggests. “We follow this practice at TNNWC, and it results in a more collaborative and mutually advantageous effort among everyone. Employees become more committed to delivering a quality product if their personal success and increased income relies on their own standards of excellence.”

“Next, small businesses must realize how coexistence is vital for their success,” Kovitz explains. “TNNWC is relationship-centered: We forge strategic partnerships when we identify services offered by other businesses that could be good for our membership. We build a truly complementary relationship: Our service partner provides expertise and fulfillment and TNNWC provides technical and marketing support.”

“Finally, we offer something for free, which is always a great enticement to take a closer look at a product or service. Our National Networker Weekly Newsletter has been free since our first day six years ago. And of course, membership in TNNWC is free. We also offer new members what we call a free Mini-Media Buzz Blitz that demonstrates the power of social media through our Buzzworks service,” Kovitz says. “Here again, the net effect is a win-win for all: A mutually beneficial means for everyone to participate in a community and create something that is truly greater than its individual parts.”

The alternative, according to Kovitz, is to submit to domination by big business. “To me, that represents failure. And as we all know, failure is not an option.”

Membership in TNNWC is free.
