Facebook offers much more than casual conversations and staying connected with friends and family. Facebook provides an opportunity to attract and create relationships with your target market.

Recent additions to Facebook Pages (formerly known as Fan Pages) opens the door to unlimited opportunities and potential. Over the next few months, my articles will focus on describing some of these options and how you can effectively apply them to increase visibility, credibility, and profitability in just 15 minutes a day.

  • People spend over 70 billion minutes per month on Facebook - an average of 55 minutes per day per active user

  • More than 35 million update their status each day

  • More than 60 million status updates are posted each day

  • More than 3 Billion photos uploaded each month

  • Average user is connected to 80 community pages, groups and events

  • More than 30 billion peices of content (web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photo albums, etc) are shared each month

  • More than 3.5 million events created each month

  • More than 3 million active pages on Facebook

  • More than 1.5 million local businesses have active pages

  • More than 20 million people become fans of pages each day

  • Average user clicks on the "Like" button on 9 pieces of content each month

  • Average user writes 25 comments on FB content each month

  • Average user becomes a fan of 4 pages per month

  • Average user belongs to 13 groups

  • People on Facebook install 20 million applications every day

  • More than 250 people engage with Facebook on external websites each month

  • More than 200 million active users currently access FB through their mobile device

  • People that use FB on their mobile devices are twice as active on FB than non-mobile users.
What does this mean to you? It means that there are millions of people in your target market accessible through a viable Facebook presence!
