We all know that, according to the Laws of Supply and Demand, that the Scarcer the Resource, the more people are willing to give up in order to get it. And the more Common the Resource, the less people are willing to give up to get it. Case in point, an original Picasso will draw huge bids at auction, while a print of the same piece is available at Target at affordable prices.
The wealth of the world is currently valued to be around $32 trillion. This is PLENTY of money for everyone, if it were evenly divided. So you can see that money isn't a scarce resource, right?
Now some of you are sitting at jobs you hate... working for bosses that are annoying, obnoxious, and/or demeaning to you. You're supporting the idea that "The customer is ALWAYS right," whether they are or not. Why is that?? Because they are the ones with the money. You perceive yourself as a Common Resource in pursuit of a Scarce Resource.
Now, to turn this equation around, all you have to do is recognize the abundance of all the money that surrounds you. Not in a whiney, "Why is everyone is succeeding except me?" kind of way, but with wide-eyed wonder and fascination: "WOW! There is a ton of money around me! There's more than enough for all of us!"
Look, anywhere there's a positive difference to be made, there's money to be made, yes? So the key is (pay attention here!) to make YOU the Scarce Resource.
Become more & more skilled in what you do and get happier & happier with who you are and what you offer. People will be drawn to you. You will become IRRESISTIBLE!
And when they show up... Bill 'em!
