"Contractors are meeting people every day who work in a broad range of professions, yet few people see the opportunity to network with them. Think about the number of homes contractors are in and the people they meet every day. People…professionals, business owners, etc. People who know people, you may want to meet!
This brings me to a specific “networking” contractor who operates 3 successful businesses out of Hawthorne, New Jersey. His name is James Hernandez ..."

"(I) just wanted to give you some feedback. My last article was done on James Hernandez, the contractor with flooring and custom closet businesses. I was told, they received a phone call from someone who I guess did a search on custom closets, and found The National NetWorker article I wrote about them on Google. Called the closet company and the guy got a $10,000 job out of it! can you believe it! On "James Hernandez: NetWorking Contractor", by Tracy Percival
Just thought positive feedback was good, I was so excited for them!"

"The Unproductive Networker", by CSP Sheryl Nicholson & Terez
The Unproductive Networker "The Unproductive Networker", by CSP Sheryl Nicholson & Terez
Written by CSP Sheryl Nicholson
Musically Produced by Terez
I’m an unproductive networker
I have cards up the wazoo
No one wants to talk to me
Or ask me what I do
I don’t quite understand it
Not sure what the problem is
I have cards of many colors
For that and that and this
I sell insurance and juices
I have vitamins galore
I set up websites on the side
And I sell candles in my store
I teach yoga in my spare time
I help smokers who want to quit
I groom doggies on the weekends
And I even clean up …sh…..oot
I work hard all day and nite
And I’m dedicated too
I want to have that real success
For me and also you
So won’t someone please help me
And tell me what to do
I’m open to receive advice
I’m listening to you

"The Networking Secret", by CSP Sheryl Nicholson
The Networking Secret "The Networking Secret", by CSP Sheryl Nicholson
By CSP Sheryl Nicholson
I’ve know the secret
I’ve got the key
It’s all about you
It’s not about me
Networking’s easy
it’s even fun
when you do it right
it’s how business is done
Go find a stranger
make a new friend
give them a card
they’ll do the same
Find out their need
Listen and smile
Then follow up
With a call or email
Don’t get too personal
But personal enough
To know what they value
And how you can help
Sure selling’s important
But friendship is key
People do business
When THEY have the need
A resource to them
Is what you are now
You’ve got plenty of time
To close that sale
Networking’s easy
it’s even fun
when you do it right
it’s how business is done
