I started talking w/ another business owner about her business’s products and services and I openly shared my services. I handed her my business card and asked for hers. She said she did not want to give hers because she did not want me contacting her. I replied that is too bad because I was interested in your service and now you just lost my trust in wanting to do business with you. This woman was shocked that she read me the wrong way and she walked away dumbfounded not knowing how to correct the awkward situation. &lt;br /&gt;Trust is something that does need to be earned is built upon through evidence of reliability. Once you have it, we all must learn to maintain it. Once it is lost, it can be a challenge to rebuild. - Christine West, TheBusinessMD, an industrial organizational psychology practitioner specializing in workplace behavior and self-created fears and obstacles. www.thebusinessmd.net</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/31980533/4276020567501588087/comments/default/3136036108825694537'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/31980533/4276020567501588087/comments/default/3136036108825694537'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thenationalnetworker.blogspot.com/2009/06/connecting-is-not-enough-its-question.html?showComment=1247016183688#c3136036108825694537' title=''/><author><name>TheBusinessMD</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/14884018306695939185</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='16169921123793820476'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://thenationalnetworker.blogspot.com/2009/06/connecting-is-not-enough-its-question.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31980533.post-4276020567501588087' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/31980533/posts/default/4276020567501588087' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
